Design and build mobile apps powered by AI features such as image recognition, translation, and smart assistants. Designed for ages 9–13 in Grades 4–8, each class has just 3–5 students for personalized instruction. Students use MIT App Inventor to create real Android apps while learning the fundamentals of app design, programming logic, and artificial intelligence. Throughout the course, students learn how to design app screens, use buttons, images, labels, and sensors, and build interactive apps using events, variables, conditionals, and procedures. They also explore beginner AI features and complete several working mobile apps while developing problem solving and design thinking skills.

AI App Development with MIT App Inventor - Level 2

Take your app development skills further by building more advanced mobile applications with powerful AI features. Designed for ages 9–13 in Grades 4–8, each class includes only 3–5 students, allowing for personalized guidance as students create more polished and feature rich apps. Throughout the course, students build apps that use databases, maps, media, APIs, and advanced AI components such as image recognition, translation, and text to speech. They learn how to organize larger projects, improve the user experience, and solve more complex programming challenges while creating professional quality apps they can test and share.
